Private creditors ‘must be willing to take consequences’ of risky lending to crisis-hit Sri Lanka

Most of Sri Lanka’s external debt payments are made to private creditors, and a group of economists has called on them to “share the burden” of restructuring the country’s debt as it attempts to navigate through an economic crisis.
