Mexico’s social spending has reduced poverty and income inequality

The IMF’s Frederic Lambert explains how social spending in Mexico has been effective in alleviating poverty and containing income inequality.

    an economist in the IMF's Western Hemisphere Department, in charge of Mexico. Previously, he was in charge of Uruguay and worked on the report on global financial stability in the Department of Monetary and Capital Markets. He joined the IMF in 2012, after being the head of the International Monetary Relations Division of the Bank of France. He has a PhD in Economics from the New York University, Stern School of Business.
