CIPFA launches global resource hub: Public Finance Focus

28 Jan 20

CIPFA has relaunched its Public Finance International website, as part of an ongoing evolution of the portal aimed at making a variety of new content and learning materials available to CIPFA members and the wider public finance community.

Redesigned and newly branded as Public Finance Focus, the site will continue to bring you the news and insight currently provided through Public Finance International, and will begin offering additional learning materials and other valuable resources from across the institute.

In addition, PFF will soon be introducing a community forum to enable public finance professionals across the globe to network and exchange ideas.

“The new site is all part of ensuring we give members the content they want and need through the channels they prefer, while at the same time enhancing their content experience,” said Jon Watkins, Public Finance editor.

“There is great demand for our news content, so we will continue to provide that on a daily basis. But we also know that when people read a story on a specific topic or region, they want to be served additional relevant and related content – whether commentary, opinion or learning resources. The new site does that.

“In addition, as globalisation continues and CIPFA’s membership grows overseas, we want a platform that will genuinely address global public finance issues and be relevant to practitioners all around the world. Again, that will be a core focus.”

Rob Whiteman, CIPFA chief executive, added: “CIPFA exists to build trust by strengthening public financial management. That’s true internationally, as well as in our home nation of the UK.

“We’re excited to introduce Public Finance Focus, which we hope will become the premier digital space for public finance practitioners across the globe to come together to access and share best-in-class commentary, guidance, training and business support.”

Readers registered to Public Finance International will automatically receive access to all content via their existing log-in details, while sign-up for all visitors is free.
